We can lead happier, healthier lives by living in accordance with our individual Human Designs. Each of us has natural, in-born abilities and limitations that shape our lives, personalities, relationships and accomplishments. If we try to live according to an incorrect idea of who we really are, our lives will be filled with frustration, anger, disease, loneliness and failure. Each of us is an individual, and trying to be someone else instead of being our "true self" is swimming upstream in the river of life. By knowing our Human Design we can learn strategies for optimal living.
Cathy Kinnaird is a Certified Human Design System Analyst and Teacher and the director of Human Design Northwest. She is available for consultation in person or by phone. If you are in the Portland, Oregon area, Cathy can meet with you in person.
Cathy's own Human Design is illustrated in the "Body Graph" on the left.
Your Human Design reveals much more than you might expect. It tells you more about yourself than astrology, and it is more interesting than a personality analysis. It gives you insight into the built-in mechanisms that affect every moment of your life. It helps you to grasp and work around the limits of your nature and embrace and maximize your natural abilities. Every limitation and strength has associated strategies that allow you to make the most of your life, relationships, health and career. By "Living your Design," you will move through life "with the flow." Resistance will be decreased and you will be empowered to be more of who you really are.
Many people feel a huge sense of relief when they have their first Human Design Reading. They feel validated for being who they are rather than trying to be what others want them to be. This often releases years of guilt, anger, shame and blame. A reading can restore a sense of purpose and meaning in your life. You can give yourself permission to "be yourself."
Knowing the Human Design of people with whom you have a relationship helps you to understand why they act the way they do and say the things they say. It helps you to understand that they are really not "just like you." You can know what to expect from other people and what to expect from yourself. Your Human Design also reveals physical, emotional and mental attributes that affect your health and the way you make decisions.
